Visa free travel

Hong Kong passport holders don’t need a short stay visa to enter the Schengen area. However, any person who enters Belgium for a short stay (90 days within any 180-day period) and does not stay in a hotel must report their presence within the following three days. If you are a Hong Kong citizen or have another nationality that is exempted from a short stay visa, you can now also do this electronically via « My Address in Belgium » (MAB). EES - Entry/Exit System 

The Entry/Exit System (EES) is an automated IT system for registering non-EU nationals travelling for a short stay, every time they cross the external borders of European countries using the system, including Belgium. This registration is carried out automatically for travellers who require a short-stay visa (maximum 90 days) and for those who do not need a visa. No prior action is necessary on their part. The EES records entry and exit dates, and biometric data (fingerprints and facial image). The system also records refusals of entry.

Competent authority for access to Belgian territory
